Garden

We tend our city garden where we welcome Home Restaurant guests, grow herbs, flowers and food.  Since our space is limited we only grow what we cannot purchase— In the spring, rare tulips, chervil, white lilac, tall oakleaf hydrangea and our biggest crop of roses. In the summer French marigolds, forget me nots, small zinnias in a rainbow of soft colors, and chartreuse nicotiana. In the fall, figs, persimmons, fall clematis and Japanese anemone. In the winter, pieris japonica, hellebore, snowdrops, sorrel and leather leaf viburnum. We do not grow nearly enough flowers or food to support all of our projects but a bit of what we grow and forage is incorporated in nearly everything we make.
